Please see below for an update from TNT and FedEx regarding a temporary surcharge on all international parcel and freight shipments :
FedEx and TNT are playing a crucial role in keeping necessary goods moving and delivering critical relief during the COVID-19 crisis. We are still delivering under state of emergency, lockdown and shelter in place restrictions issued in various parts of the world, as government restrictions allow and in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) guidance.
These restrictions are disrupting the global supply chain. Cargo capacity is limited, and we’ve had to make adjustments so that our international networks can continue to deliver much-needed goods and services in this constrained environment.
To continue providing our customers with services during this time, we are implementing a temporary surcharge on all FedEx Express and TNT international parcel and freight shipments, including intra-European shipments, from April 6th until further notice. The surcharge does not apply to domestic intra-country shipments.
As of April 6th, the surcharge will appear on invoices and will be visible within our online quotation tools. Details of the surcharge are available on our websites and you can review them at fedex.com and tnt.com
